Guardrail workflow that prevents re-enrollment into a sequence a contact is already active in
Professional
Seat pricing: Professional edition. To build it, a GTM Seat or an Ops Seat (an Ops Seat cannot create marketing emails or sequences). Per-hub plans: Sales Hub Professional.
OutcomeInstead of a sequence-enrollment workflow silently skipping a contact who is already mid-sequence (with nobody noticing), sales ops gets a visible log and a chance to decide, rather than the enrollment just quietly failing.

When to use it, when not to
Use it
- Use it once you run more than one sequence-enrollment workflow across different triggers (lead status changes, list membership, deal stage), where two of them could plausibly try to enroll the same contact around the same time.
- Use it if sales ops has been surprised before by a "why didn't this contact get the sequence" question that turned out to be the native single-sequence rule quietly skipping enrollment, as noted in sales-ops-001's pitfalls.

Skip it
- Do not use it if you only run one sequence-enrollment workflow total; there is nothing to guard against and this adds overhead for no benefit.
- Do not use it as a substitute for actually deciding sequence priority; this workflow surfaces the conflict, it does not resolve which sequence should win.
