Custom object record digest: weekly summary of new custom-object records

Reporting and alertsCustomData Hub EnterpriseAdvanced~65 min to buildFull spec

Outcome. Once a week, the owning team gets a Slack message listing every new record created on a given custom object that week, so activity on a custom object is visible without opening its record list in the CRM.

When to use it, when not to

  • UseUse it for a custom object that does not already have an obvious owner-facing digest, for example an internal "Project" or "Renewal Case" object that a workflow creates records on but nobody checks daily.
  • UseUse it as a lightweight activity pulse rather than a full report; pair with a native custom report on the object for deeper analysis.
  • SkipDo not use it if the custom object's records already appear in an existing dashboard leadership checks regularly; a duplicate Slack digest adds noise, not value.
  • SkipDo not use this fiche as written for a high-volume custom object receiving hundreds of records a week; the message would be unreadably long. See Variants for a summary-only version.
