Price increase notification task before renewal date

Outcome. When a renewal carries a price increase, the deal owner gets a task to tell the customer well before the renewal date, instead of the increase showing up as a surprise on the invoice.

When to use it, when not to

  • UseUse it whenever a Price Increase Percent value is set on a renewal deal, so the customer conversation happens with enough lead time.
  • UseUse it as an internal task generator, not a customer-facing auto-email; a price increase deserves a human message, not a templated blast. See Variants for a templated-email option if your team has standardized the wording.
  • SkipDo not use it on renewal deals with no price change; the enrollment criteria already excludes those, but confirm Price Increase Percent defaults to blank or zero rather than being left unset by accident on flat renewals.
  • SkipDo not use it as the only communication channel for a large increase on a strategic account; pair it with a manual executive-level heads-up for accounts above a size threshold your team defines.
