Use it

  • Use it when your audience spans the US and other countries, and sending workflows keep repeating the same four checks.
  • Use it as the first block of any multi-channel spec: the sending workflow reads Messaging channel and goes straight to the right action.

Skip it

  • Do not use native SMS for numbers outside the US. Native Marketing SMS only reaches US numbers that start with +1 and contain 11 digits. Contacts elsewhere get WhatsApp, the app action in messaging-018, or email.
  • Do not use it if all contacts are in one country and on one channel. A single guard branch in the sending workflow is enough.
