Use it

  • Use it when failed card payments or overdue invoices are frequent enough that a short text recovers revenue faster than an email alone.
  • Use it when the overdue state already reaches the contact record, through an invoice sync, a billing integration or a companion invoice workflow.

Skip it

  • Do not use it for numbers outside the US. Native Marketing SMS only reaches US numbers that start with +1 and contain 11 digits. For other countries, build the same logic with the app action in messaging-018.
  • Do not treat this SMS as exempt from consent because it is about billing. The Send SMS message action only delivers to contacts opted in to the SMS subscription type and set as marketing contacts.
