Auto-unenroll from sequence when associated deal is created

Sales opsContactSales Hub ProfessionalIntermediate~30 min to buildFull spec

Outcome. Once a contact becomes a real open deal, the sequence stops sending, so an AE running 1:1 outreach on the deal is not competing with a canned SDR step landing in the same inbox that same week.

When to use it, when not to

  • UseUse it when SDRs run contacts through sequences and AEs take over once a deal opens, and both teams want the handover to be automatic rather than a manual "remember to unenroll" step.
  • UseUse it when deal creation reliably happens close to qualification, so the timing of the unenroll matches real handoff moments.
  • SkipDo not use it if your team creates deals very early, before real qualification, since the sequence would stop before it had a chance to do its job.
  • SkipDo not use it if the same person plays SDR and AE for a given contact; there is no real handoff to protect here, and stopping the sequence early may just lose good touches.
