Quarter-end forecast snapshot property

Deal hygieneDealSales Hub ProfessionalAdvanced~45 min to buildFull spec

Outcome. Every open deal gets its amount, stage, and probability captured into snapshot properties on the last day of each quarter, so a quarter-over-quarter forecast comparison exists without exporting the pipeline by hand every time.

When to use it, when not to

  • UseUse it if sales leadership wants to compare "what did we think Q3 forecast looked like on September 30" against how deals actually resolved, without relying on a report someone manually saved that day.
  • UseUse it as a snapshot mechanism only, this fiche does not build the comparison report itself, it produces the data a report or export can later read.
  • SkipDo not use this if your portal has the native Forecast tool's historical view already covering this need at the team level, check first, this fiche is for a per-deal record of the snapshot, not a replacement for team-level forecast history.
  • SkipDo not treat the snapshot date as exact to the minute, calendar-quarter boundaries are not something a standard filter-based workflow evaluates on its own, see Known pitfalls.
